Lodge Command is software used by Masonic lodges — private, membership-based fraternal organisations — to communicate with their own dues-paying members. A lodge typically has between 40 and 400 members and meets once or twice a month.
Text messages are sent by a lodge to the men already on its own membership roll. We do not send marketing, we do not message anyone who is not a member of the sending lodge, and no phone number is ever bought, rented, shared, or sold. There is one sender of record: Lodge Command LLC.
Every message is transactional and relates to the recipient's own lodge. There are five kinds:
There are two ways, and in both the member acts first. We never text anyone to ask them to opt in.
The member sends JOIN to 848-373-3676 from his own mobile phone. Nothing is sent to him until he does. He learns the number from his own lodge: read out at a stated communication, printed in the monthly trestle board, emailed by the Secretary, or by scanning a QR code on any of those — which simply opens his messaging app with JOIN already typed in, so he still presses send himself.
The call-to-action, wherever it appears, reads:
“Text JOIN to 848-373-3676 to get meeting reminders, event notices and dues reminders from your lodge. About 2–6 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Terms: lodgecommand.com/terms Privacy: lodgecommand.com/privacy”
His number must already be on his lodge's membership roll. If it is not, he receives a single reply telling him to ask his Secretary, and nothing else — no subscription is created.

There is no other route in. A lodge officer cannot enable texts for a member on his behalf, and importing a roster does not opt anyone in — an imported member is email-only until he texts JOIN or completes the form himself.
On either route, before any other message, he receives one confirmation text:
“Lodge Command: Subscribed to [his lodge]. ~2-6 msgs/mo: meetings, events, dues. Msg&data rates apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
It is the same message whichever way he joined. After that he receives only his own lodge's messages, at the frequency stated above.
Message frequency varies by lodge and by month. In practice a member receives roughly 2–6 messages per month: typically one meeting reminder, occasional event notices, and a dues reminder once or twice a year.
Message and data rates may apply. Lodge Command does not charge members anything; the lodge pays for the software.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately. The reply is processed automatically and no further texts are sent to that number. Reply HELP for help, or email support@lodgecommand.com. A member can also ask his lodge Secretary to switch him back to email.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile numbers collected for this program are used only to deliver the messages described above. They are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
